Traci, if you believe in predestination, you will end up in the same place no matter what choices we make. I do not believe in predestination. I believe our choices can change our fate, can make us end up in different places. When looking back at my life so far, I see where if I had made different choices, I would have ended up in different places. I am not sure what those different places would have been, but I know the places would have not been the same as now. Do I regret some of those choices? Sure, I do. Also, I am glad I made other choices. That is what makes life so interesting, knowing you may be in a different place. If you are going to be in the same place no matter your choices, why live that life. I want my choices in life to make a difference of some kind, at least make me be in a different place if I want to be in a different place. That is what makes life worth living.
Aloha Traci,
I feel the main journey we are on in this life is a spiritual one. Everyone has a specific set of spiritual goals they are here to work on during the trials, tribulations and blessings this earthly life provides. As long as you come to the place you need to be spiritually it doesn’t matter what earthly bus you road or where or with whom you end up. Although, choosing the right busses, destinations and people you encounter is what makes the journey ruff or smooth.
At least that’s the simple version of my overall thoughts on this thought provoking Question of the Day.
